Information for Artists

What are the dimensions of the Gallery?

The Gallery is over 1,100 square feet, has 20 foot ceilings, 75 linear feet of wall hanging space, directed indoor lighting as well as diffused north light from a large two story window. The Gallery is open to adjoining spaces on its east and west ends. A large glassed-in balcony on the third floor allows visitors to view exhibits from above.

What are the technological capabilities of the space?

For multi-media exhibits, digital projectors, LCD flat screens, DVD/VCRs and laptops are avilable for use. Staff members from Mann's Information Technology Section can provide guidance on designing technologically rich installations and are available to teach students (and others) how to use equipment they are not familiar with.

What support does Mann provide for exhibitions?

The gallery staff can support artists by designing promotional materials for the exhibits such as posters or postcards, assisting in exhibit design, fabrication of title plaques, technical set-up of audio-visual equipments such as projectors, computers etc. and assistance with installation and deinstallation of exhibits. The library also caters a small opening reception for each exhibit.

Who do I contact about exhibiting in the Gallery?

If you are interested in exhibiting, please contact us at mann-gallery-l@cornell.edu. Cornell classes with group projects, students, and faculty are particularly encouraged to apply.
